Info & Benefits

Membership in the organization is open to anyone interested in veterinary laboratory medicine. Our members are veterinarians, technologists, veterinary technicians, diagnostic lab managers, laboratory technicians, and more. They work in large and small veterinary practices, privately owned diagnostic labs, government labs, universities, large and small labs, zoos, and everywhere people are taking care of animals.

Becoming a member entitles you to voting in officer elections, continuing education opportunities and networking with other veterinary professionals including the VLA Forum. Our membership is on a calendar year basis (from January to December).

Membership dues for the year remain $40.  Your choice of a password and username will be sent via email after payment is complete. If you are paying for more than one person on one transaction, please send an email message via the "Contact Us" page of this website.

The software does not differentiate between new and renewal memberships.

To become a VLA member:

Pay by Check

To pay by check, click on the membership form which you will find here: Membership Form.  This is a printable PDF form. Simply print the form, fill it out and mail the form and your check for membership. Please make sure to include your email address. When your check has cleared, you will receive an email message asking for your preference of username and password to be used in the VLA forum.  You will receive a second message confirming your password and username.

Pay by Credit Card

Pay by credit card  by clicking here. This will take you directly to PayPal.  The software now asks for your preference of username and password for use in the VLA forum. Be sure to keep them in a  safe place.

You will receive a message from PayPal telling you the transaction is complete.
